We are incredibly privileged to get to do something we love, whislt raising money for local causes along the way!
In Summer 2018, HCP donated £150 to the Rainbow School in Highcliffe (where we sometimes rehearse) so that they could produce leavers books for their students as they get ready for 'Big school'.
In 2016 HCP donated £3,000 to support five worthy causes - £1,000 to Macmillan Caring Locally, £500 to Kezia Needham who is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania for Meningitis Research Foundation, £500 to Elle Paskins for the Ella Turner Support Fund, £500 to support Matthew Smith’s London Marathon bid for Make-A-Wish UK and £500 to John Gayler for his forthcoming Jurassic Coast Mighty Hike in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
In 2014 Highcliffe Charity Players donated £500 to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and £500 to one of its members - 19-year-old Charles Michael Duke, who has the disease, to aid his fundraising efforts for the trust. HCP also passed on a further cheque for £100 to Charles, given to the Players by the Rotary Club of Southampton West for the charity of HCP’s choice.
In 2011, HCP donated £1,500 to local causes - £500 jointly to Christchurch senior citizens and the Twynham School Innovation Project, £500 to Highcliffe Residents Association for their Old School building renovation work and £500 to Becky Kilford, for her forthcoming Macmillan Cancer Trust Charity Walk on The Great Wall of China.
